Royse M. Engle, 92, died Tuesday February 7, 2023 at Grace Village in Winona
Lake.

Royse was born in Warsaw on January 20, 1931, the son of (the late) Merl
and Blanch (Harper) Engle. He graduated from Warsaw High School with the
Class of ’49 and went on to proudly serve his country with the US Army during the
Korean Conflict. On April 7, 1952, Royse married Earline (Richardson) Engle in
Silver Lake. She preceded him in death on January 1, 2022 after 69 years of
marriage. Royse was employed by the Gatke Corp. and later purchased a farm
where he specialized in raising ducks. Royse enjoyed music, watching Lawrence
Welk and was an avid reader, especially enjoying western novels.

He is survived by his children; Timothy (Lorraine) Engle of Columbus OH, Debra (Terry) Runkle of Peru, Steve Engle of Winona Lake and Terry (Debra) Engle of Claypool;
brother, Max (Barbara) Engle of Warsaw; sister, Nancy Kleeman of Warsaw;
grandchildren, Max Engle of Claypool, Rebecca Engle of Columbus OH, Brandon
(Alicia) Slone of North Manchester and 3 great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held at a later date.
