A homeless man from Elkhart led Goshen police on a high-speed chase Saturday that ended in a crash southwest of Milford.

According to a Goshen Police Department incident report, GPD officers were called at 12:09 p.m. Saturday to 1925 Lincolnway East in Goshen to investigate a report of invasion of privacy.

When the accused person, Jason Drinsky, 43, listed as homeless, was found, he fled from police in a 2012 Buick Regal.

The Buick was traveling south on CR 500W, fleeing from GPD, when at 1 p.m., it left the west side of the road just south of CR 1100N in Kosciusko County and struck a Kosciusko REMC utility pole.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Sgt. Chris Francis said the Regal rolled several times and came to a rest on the passenger side in a corn field.

Drinsky was extricated by the Milford Fire Department and taken to an area hospital  by Lutheran EMS for evaluation.

Formal charges for resisting law enforcement and invasion of privacy are pending, and Drinsky’s injuries are unknown.
