An Elkhart security guard has been arrested after residents of a Goshen apartment complex accused him of impersonating a police officer and harassing them and their children. 23 year-old Rory Kerwood was charged with several counts after a resident of Ashton Pines Apartments called Goshen Police to report the harassment. Kerwood admits speaking with the parents and their children regarding possible gang activity, but insists he never identified himself as a police officer. Residents at the apartment complex say otherwise, accusing him of banging on their doors, yelling police, threatening the children with arrest and even searching one dwelling, looking for a gun.
