Silver Lake Man Arrested In Pierceton On Meth Charges

KCSD Press Release – Warsaw and Kosciusko County drug units arrested a Silver Lake man on meth related charges yesterday in Pierceton.

The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force and the Warsaw Police Narcotics Unit, acting upon an investigative drug tip, responded yesterday to the Pierceton area.  Warsaw and Kosciusko County officers enlisted the assistance of the Pierceton Police Department and initiated a traffic stop on Brian Lee Slone, 37, Silver Lake, as he left his employment at approximately 3 p.m.  Officers summoned a Warsaw Police Department K-9 unit to the scene, at which point approximately two (2) grams of finished methamphetamine was located on Slone.  Also discovered during the traffic stop was a juvenile child (name/age being withheld).  Officers contacted the Department of Child Services and the mother was subsequently given possession of the child.
Brian Slone was arrested and preliminarily charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, along with neglect of a dependent.  Slone’s bond was set at $2,000.
Thursdays arrest was the result of a joint-investigation between the Warsaw Police Narcotics Unit, Kosciusko County Drug Task Force, Warsaw Police Department, and the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, and the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office.
