Silver Lake Park Construction Starts

Construction for the Rambler Park Pavilion, 202 S. High St., Silver Lake, begins this week following a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday.
The town received a grant from the Kosciusko County Community Foundation and also has received donations from area organizations.
Dr. Howard and Helen Liebengood Endowment matched  the grant amount and donations from the Silver Lake Lion’s Club, Lake Township and Silver Lake Youth League.
The Pavilion will include restrooms, a youth league concession stand and a covered picnic area.
Guests will have the amenities they need to enjoy the park and activities held there, the release states. It also will provide space for family gatherings, church outings and youth activities.
The release states that it’s been a process to get to where it is today, but it will bring convenience to the park.
Hohman excavating and D-T Construction have been hired to excavate and complete the construction of the project.
The project is set to start next week and will take 45 days to complete. Silver Lake Town Council President Chad Miner said the pavilion is a nice addition to the park and for the people. Clerk-Treasurer Tonya Conley said they appreciate the grants.
“We appreciate everyone that has donated,” she said. “Without that, we wouldn’t be doing this.”
