Smith, Voelz Win Big in County Races

There will be a new sheriff in Kosciusko County, and it’s Jim Smith. Smith beat James Marshall with 63-percent of the vote in yesterday’s election. Smith will replace Kyle Dukes, whom he knocked out in the primary last May.

Kosciusko County will also have a new chief prosecutor, and Brad Voelz defeated Travis McConnell 75-percent to 25-percent. Voelz will replace his current boss, Dan Hampton, who is stepping down at the end of his term.

Tony Ciriello claimed county council district 3 over David Lewis with 80-percent of the vote.
