St. Joseph Man Sentenced For Synthetic Drug Sales

It's three years, house arrest, for one of the suspects arrested in last year’s raids on convenience stores in St. Joseph and Elkhart Counties suspected of selling synthetic marijuana. 28 year-old Muhammad Khan will spend the time through Michiana Community Corrections, along with two years probation as part of his plea agreement. Khan, who was working at the Energy Oil station on South Main Street in Elkhart, has more than a dozen charged filed against him, including seven counts of dealing with a synthetic drug or look alike substance. The Elkhart Truth reports that during his sentencing, Kahn insisted he was not educated about drugs, was told the substances were organic, and didn't know they were actually harmful.
