A vehicle stolen out of St. Joseph County was recovered in Miami County on Saturday night.
Indiana State Police say a trooper made a stop on a minivan that was headed southbound on US 31, north of Peru for driving 74 MPH in a 60 MPH. When investigating the minivan, the trooper discovered it had a false and fictitious license plate, and shortly after, learned the van was stolen out of St. Joseph County.
The driver, 31-year old Tiffani Ward of Atlanta, Georgia was taken to the Miami County Jail, facing a felony charge of possession of a stolen vehicle and also faces a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana.
