A Syracuse man was killed walking along a road Friday and police are looking for the driver of the vehicle who struck him.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the hit-and-run incident that happened around 5 p.m. Friday in the area of 70888 CR 29 in Syracuse. Police said a vehicle was traveling south on CR 29, south of CR 50 and hit 58-year old Mark Warren. Warren was reportedly walking on the west side of the road.

Warren was pronounced dead at the scene, and debris found at the scene indicates the vehicle may possibly be a Ford F-250 Super Duty or larger Ford pickup truck. The truck would have passenger-side damage.
