Tracey’s Trails Donates $35,000 To Limitless Park

The Tracey’s Trails Fund, a component fund of the Kosciusko County Community Foundation, recently granted $35,000 to the Town of Winona Lake for Limitless Park, specifically toward the purchase of a shade covering over the splash pad.
The Tracey’s Trails Fund was established in memory of Tracey Yeager to provide support for building, improving and maintaining areas for outdoor family recreation and fitness activities, including hiking and bicycling paths and trails, greenways or linear parks in Kosciusko County.
Before passing away in 2010 after a lengthy battle with cancer, Yeager enjoyed spending time with her husband, Steve, and children, especially outdoors, according to a release from the community foundation. She was an avid runner and cyclist.
As a tribute, her family and friends annually host the Tracey Yeager Memorial 5K on Memorial Day. The proceeds from the event go to the Tracey’s Trails Fund, which awarded this grant to the Town of Winona.
“The Tracey’s Trails Committee is excited about the opportunity to fund a project that families and children of all ability levels will be able to enjoy. Limitless Park’s focus on outdoor family recreation fits perfectly with the purpose of this fund in Tracey’s memory,” Steve Yeager said in the release. “We are looking forward to holding another event on Memorial Day 2015 and funding other needs through the Tracey’s Trails Fund.”
Gifts to the Tracey’s Trails Fund are welcome, and are tax-deductible. They can be made by credit card online at www.KCFoundation.org/donate or by check to Kosciusko County Community Foundation, 102 E. Market St., Warsaw, IN 46580. Write “Tracey’s Trails” in the memo line.
