The traffic signal project along State Road 15 that was supposed to start on Monday will now begin on Thursday.

Warsaw city officials said INDOT had some material delays that did not allow them to begin the work on-time. INDOT is replacing seven signals along State Road 15 from Prairie Street north to Fort Wayne Street, which will include new poles and lights, along with ADA-compliant crosswalks.

The new signals are also expected to communicate with the railroad to allow better traffic flow when a train is moving through town.

Work is scheduled to begin at Market Street, with work up to Fort Wayne Street.
