Two arrested following multi-county pursuit that began in Syracuse

Two people, which included a Warsaw man, were arrested following a multi-county police pursuit that started in Syracuse.

Indiana State Police say troopers attempted to stop a vehicle around 3:00 PM that was occupied by a fugitive wanted in Fulton County and another that was in possession of a handgun and assault rifle as a serious violent felon. Police say the pursuit began along State Road 13 north of Syracuse, then went along several county roads into Noble County where the chase then turned down US 33 into DeKalb County. The chase eventually entered into northern Allen County, where the car overturned after hitting a set of stop sticks.

Police said during the pursuit, the two in the vehicle threw multiple items out of the car including bags and a handgun.

The two later arrested, 40-year old Ricky Johnson of Warsaw and 37-year old Angela Rogers of Rochester, were taken to the hospital. After their release from the hospital, both Johnson and Rogers were taken to the Kosciusko County Jail, where they are facing numerous charges.
