=======================================

Two children were killed on a farm property near Nappanee Tuesday afternoon.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office got the call around 1:45 PM, after they received word that the children, ages three and five, were struck by a semi-truck. Officials say the truck, driven by 26-year old Benjamin Tyler Sheets, began to pull forward after it was loaded with grain. After the truck began to move, the children, who were believed to be underneath the trailer, were struck.

The coroner’s office said the children were pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed and the incident remains under investigation.
