The Warsaw Airport is one of numerous airports in the nation that will be receiving a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration.

U.S. Secretary of Transportation Elaine L. Chao announced Tuesday that the Trump Administration will award more than $1.2 billion in airport safety and infrastructure grants through the FAA to 405 airports in 50 states and six U.S. territories.

Warsaw is receiving just over $1.9 million for runway rehabilitation.

Other nearby airports receiving grants include $1.8 million to Huntington Municipal Airport for runway rehabilitation, $167,000 to the Fulton County Airport to install Airfield Guidance Signs, install miscellaneous NAVAIDS, install taxiway, lighting, and rehabilitate airport beacons; and $13.3 million to South Bend International Airport to reconstruct a taxiway.
