Warsaw artist Steve Creighton receives a national award

Photo provided Nationally recognized Warsaw artist Steve Creighton’s “Still Life Group,” above, was juried into the National Oil and Acrylic Painter Society’s national exhibition in Maryland.

Steve Creighton’s “Still Life Group” oil painting has been juried into the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society (NOAPS) 2020 Best of America National Juried Exhibition. The painting is one of 150 selected from 1,096 entries from national and international artists. It will be on display at the McBride Gallery, Annapolis, Md. beginning with a reception on April 5 and continuing through May 3.

Creighton is a NOAPS signature member.  He is also a member of Oil Painters of America and the Fort Wayne Art Guild and a signature member of Hoosier Salon.

The artist grew up near Warsaw and majored in both art and business at Valparaiso University as an undergraduate and continued his art education with graduate courses at Indiana University.

His still life and landscape oil paintings have won numerous awards including multiple “Best of Show” distinctions and are held by collectors throughout the country.
