News Release
WARSAW — The city of Warsaw has announced it will open its offices at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, due to expected freezing rain overnight.
In a news release, the city said the move is being done for employee safety.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory, which remains in effect until 1 p.m. Tuesday. Freezing rain is expected to accumulate overnight with total ice accumulations of one-tenth to one quarter of an inch.
The city said essential personnel will still be working to treat roads and provide emergency services. Trash routes will still be serviced; however, please expect potential delays in pick-up times.
We encourage residents to avoid unnecessary travel during this weather event and to allow extra travel time and stopping distance if you do need to get out, the news release said.
