WARSAW — Deadline for the annual Optimist Essay Contest is Feb. 1.
The topic this year is: “Optimism: How It Connects Us”

The contest is open to contestants under the age of 19 as of October 1st of the current Optimist International contest year (Oct. 1 – Sept. 30) and who have not yet completed secondary school or its equivalent.
Submissions for the contest are capped at 20 contestants.
All applications for the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club should be returned to Shari Benyousky who will provide a verification of receipt.
Cash prizes for the top three finishers are $300, $150 and $50.
