Warsaw to Explore Train Under/Overpass

The City of Warsaw is looking at the possibility of constructing an underpass or overpass near the downtown area to help relieve train traffic issues here.

The Times Union reports that City Planner Jeremy Skinner says the city will receive a report from Indianapolis-based engineering firm American Structure Point this summer that will analyze options to overcome traffic delays caused by trains chugging north and south along the Norfolk Southern rail line just east of the downtown business district.

Crossings at Center Street, Market Street and Winona Avenue would all be investigated. Skinner cautions that any construction would not begin for several years.
