WARSAW — Warsaw Community High School is thrilled to announce its spring musical production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s beloved classic, Into the Woods.

This enchanting and witty musical will be staged in the school’s Black Box Theatre at the Warsaw Performing Arts Center from April 25 through April 28.

Into the Woods weaves together several of the Brothers Grimm’s fairy tales, exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. This spellbinding production will feature the iconic stories of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel, all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family, and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them.

Under the direction of Theatre Director Melany Morris, the talented students of WCHS’s Select Theatre Class are set to bring these stories to life. The performance will not only captivate audiences but also showcase the remarkable talent of the students in acting, singing, and stage production.
