The new wastewater rate ordinance passed in Warsaw has caused a change in billing cycles.

Warsaw residents WILL NOT receive a bill during December, but instead will receive it in late January. After that, all bills will be received the month AFTER the service was provided.

City officials say billing due dates are also likely to change, and the bill amount may fluctuate as it is now based on wastewater usage instead of a flat monthly amount.

Residents will be charged $5.65 per 1,000 gallons of usage.

The Utility Payment Office says additional costs include a monthly base charge of $8.21 to support conveyance systems and a monthly $2.95 stormwater fee.
