Warsaw Traffic Commission Talks Husky Trail Safety

The Warsaw Traffic Commission met yesterday, and improving the safety of Husky Trail in front of Harrison Elementary School was at the center of the discussion. Mayor Joe Thallemer introduced the subject by saying the city and the school corporation will need to partner together to make that high-traffic area safer for kids. According to report data, there have been 21 accidents on public property there since the start of 2018, including one that took the life of 8-year old Gideon Cook. Potential solutions include lowering speed limits, higher enforcement and warning lights.
