A Warsaw woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash east of Warsaw on Friday evening.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office says they received the call around 7:13 PM for the crash at the intersection of US 30 and County Road 325 East.

An investigation by the Sheriff’s office says a car, driven by 85-year old Richard Anderson of Warsaw, was southbound on 325 East, crossing US 30. As Anderson began to cross the eastbound lanes of US 30, his vehicle was struck on the passenger side by a pick-up truck, driven by 61-year old James Lewis of Huntington.

The passenger in Anderson’s vehicle, 77-year old Nancy Barrett of Warsaw, was pronounced dead at the scene. Anderson was airlifted from the scene to a Fort Wayne hospital, while Lewis and a passenger in his truck were treated and released at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
