Whitko School Board has approved a new teacher contract just days before the deadline. The Times Union reports that the unanimous vote at a special meeting means the terms of the contract are in effect going back to the start of the school year and will remain in effect until the end of next June. A press release from the school claims the new deal will raise the school’s budget for salaries by 2.5-percent.
