Two young entrepreneurs were award scholarships on Tuesday morning.

At a ceremony at Matthew’s Painting Company in Leesburg, owner Jason Matthews awarded two $500 scholarships to eight-year old Lillian Howard, a third grader at North Webster Elementary, and 15-year old Lynk Klinefelter, a freshman at Wawasee High School.

Both sell their creations at different events. Klinefelter, who calls his business “Life Dips” using a variety of paints and enamels on wood, goes to the North Webster Community Center’s festival annually. Howard’s business is called “Creations by Lilly,” and she makes concrete casts and molds which can be found at the Syracuse farmer’s market.
