Syracuse Teenager Arrested For Heroin Possession

    SYRACUSE – A Syracuse teenager was arrested Monday afternoon for possession of heroin and hydrocodone.

    Austin Paul Davidson, 17, of 8181 E. Constitution Drive, Syracuse, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail Monday  for possession of a narcotic drug, a level 6 felony. He is being held on an $5,250 bond.

    According to the probable cause affidavit from the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, on Nov. 19, 2015, an officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department was investigating a burglary that occurred at a Syracuse residence.

    Officers received a search warrant for the residence of one of the suspects in the burglary, Davidson. During a search of Davidson’s room, officers located a sunglasses case containing a blue plastic bag of white powder. The powder tested positive for heroin, a schedule one narcotic drug, and hydrocodone, a schedule two narcotic drug. The net weight of the powder was .18 grams. Also located in Davidson’s bedroom was a glass smoking device and a bottle of whiskey.

    Davidson’s status as a juvenile was waived Nov. 19, 2015, in the burglary case he is suspected in.
