The treats you’re feeding your dog could be making you sick.

45 people, including 3 from Indiana, have been infected with salmonella since November, according to the Center for Disease Control.

The CDC believes the outbreak is linked to pig ear dog treats.

People can become infected from handling the treats or by coming into contact with a dog once it’s contracted the illness.

A common supplier of the tainted treats hasn’t been found, but pet store chain PetSupplies Plus has recalled its pig ear treats as a precaution. The recalled treats were sold in bulk and not pre-packaged.

The CDC and Food and Drug Administration are still investigating.
