Humane Society: No complaints against Granger veterinarian accused of abusing animals

An embattled veterinarian doesn’t have any complaints against her at the county’s Humane Society.

Jennifer Perusek is accused of animal cruelty and fraud. Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill‘s office accuses her of engaging in “a pattern of kicking, hitting, slamming, dragging, and choking animals” during her time as veterinarian at the Animal Clinic of Granger.

However, the Humane Society of Elkhart County‘s director Genny Carlson told the South Bend Tribune that there have ben no records of complaints against Perusek since she started in 2011.

Perusek’s 98-count civil complaint will be decided no earlier than a January 31st meeting of the Indiana Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, barring a settlement with Hill’s office.
