Kosciusko County Commissioners have signed a proclamation declaring May to be “Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month.”

Kosciusko County American Bikers Aimed Toward Education (ABATE) James Dawson brought the request before the commissioners. He said the commissioners annually sign a proclamation, and motorcycle riders appreciate the increased awareness.

“The weather may not feel like it today, but motorcycle riding season will get here,” Dawson said. “ABATE has always been about teaching motorcycle safety, and having this proclamation helps that cause.”
