Martin’s Super Markets To Offer Free Meal And 11% Discount For Veterans

SOUTH BEND – All 20 Martin’s Super Markets locations in Indiana and Michigan will offer a free “Honor Meal” for active, retired and discharged U.S. military service veterans and reservists on Veterans Day, Thursday, Nov. 11, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Martin’s also will offer an 11% discount on sale and non-sale items (some exclusions may apply, see store for details) on Nov. 10 and 11.

“We are looking forward to recognizing those who have served our country and protected our freedom on this special day,” said Doug Dillman, vice president, regional operations, Martin’s Super Markets. “Included in that group will be our own Martin’s employee veterans who have given so much to our country and our company,” he added.

The meal will be available to carry out or dine in, at each store’s Side Door Deli Café. The meal includes: two pieces of fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, roll, 16-ounce beverage and a cookie.

In addition, all veterans are encouraged to enter to win one of three Martin’s $50 gift cards to be given away at each store by Smithfield/Eckrich & Belgioioso Cheese.
