Murder Trial For Teens Pushed Back

The trial date for two teens charged with felony murder in connection with a deadly robbery in Elkhart County has been pushed back a few months. 18 year-old Freddie Rhodes and 16 year-old Deante Dalton appeared in Elkhart Circuit Court for a trial status conference on Thursday. Their joint trial date in mid-March was reset to mid-June.  Rhodes and Dalton were arrested  following an investigation of a shooting on Falcon Court back in September. An alleged co-conspirator, 18 year-old Dre Tarrious Rodgers, was found dead in the basement. According to court files, Rodgers, Rhodes and Dalton went to the home on Falcon Court with the intention of robbing the man who lives there. If convicted, Rhodes and Dalton could face up to 65 years in prison.
