New App Gives Access to Birth Control Without a Doctor’s Visit

A new app launched last week will connect women with birth control without a trip to the doctor. Hoosiers are downloading the app NURX, in which they can order what they want, have that reviewed by a doctor online and then mailed to them after approval. Indiana is one of 14 states that allows Nurx, which went online last Tuesday. Women can download the app and fill out the registration form at no charge. The app will work with insurance companies, and uninsured women can get birth control pills for $15.
