WARSAW — Night To Shine Warsaw returns Friday, but organizers say they still need people to serve as “Buddies” Friday and with set up on Thursday afternoon.
The worldwide events sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation gives people a chance to experience the high school prom.
The Warsaw event at Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church is set for Friday night with a full complement of fun including a walk down the red carpet to start the evening.
But Anne Petre, a lead organizer, said they depend greatly on community support, some of which is still needed.
“Yes, we’re still in need of volunteers. We are in need of buddies specifically,” Petre said Wednesday afternoon. “Those are people who volunteer the night of and they get paired up with one of our guests and they get to escort them throughout the night to make sure they’re having a great time and their needs are met.”
You can go to https://warsawpresby.org/ to register.
Other volunteers are also needed for set up at Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church at 210 S. High St., in Warsaw starting at 3 p.m. Thursday. No registration is needed for that role.
Petre invites the public to check out the Friday night spectacle, which will cater to about 150 guests.
The entire production brings together about 400 people, combined.
“And we welcome anybody too, to cheer on the red carpet,” she added, “Our red carpet entrance is a big deal for our guests.”
The event runs from 5 to 9 p.m.
