A literal ton of food, and more, was raised during a weekend food drive benefitting Dane’s Family Pantry and Combined Community Services.
Food-a-thon 2019 was hosted at the Martin’s Supermarket in Warsaw, where members of CCS were looking for food donations for the upcoming winter season. John Parker with CCS says the food raised could easily get the pantry through February, if not longer.
Along with the food donations, monetary donations were given as well, some checks over $1,000. The annual food drive helps prepare the non-for-profit organization prepare for the holiday season, but also helps with the overall stock on their shelves. For more information, visit ccsgives.com.
