Questa Education Foundation And Brotherhood Mutual Form Partnership

FORT WAYNE – Questa Education Foundation announced a new partnership with Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company to provide local students with experience, college funding and career opportunities at Brotherhood Mutual®.

Through the Brotherhood Mutual Internship program, students start with an internship at the company and then become eligible to apply for up to $10,000 over two years in fully forgivable loan dollars to assist in completing their education.  Funding is fully forgiven when graduates of the program start their careers at Brotherhood Mutual after graduation, according to a news release from the Questa Education Foundation.

Applications are now open and will remain open year-round. Students pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting, business, construction management, criminal justice, risk management, finance, technology, marketing or health sciences at a faith-based Indiana college or university are encouraged to apply.

“Teaming up with Questa creates an exciting new avenue for recruiting talented individuals to our purpose-driven company,” said Kathleen Turpin, vice president human resources, Brotherhood Mutual. “We’re excited about helping local students achieve their dream of a college education and about giving them the opportunity to gain experience with a national company.”

Questa has been providing college funding for local students for 85 years and, in 2007, Questa added a focus on retaining talented graduates in the region to meet employer needs and grow the economy.  Questa’s funding program makes college affordable and loan forgiveness helps students graduate with less debt while encouraging them to remain in the region to live and work.

“As regional employers face mounting challenges to recruiting new talent, Questa offers a unique solution that works,” said Liz Bushnell, executive director of Questa Education Foundation.  “The Brotherhood Mutual program takes this a step further – students get professional experience through internships, funding to complete their degrees, and the opportunity to start their career at one of our region’s top employers.”

Local employers interested in partnering with Questa to develop solutions for their talent needs are encouraged to contact Liz Bushnell at 260-407-6494 or ebushnell@questafoundation.org.
