A second mobile meth lab bust in Warsaw this week

Warsaw Police say they found a mobile meth lab in a car in the Westhaven Estates.

They were there Tuesday around 4:30 p.m. for a separate investigation, but saw that items associated with the manufacture of Methamphetamine were in plain view inside the vehicle.

The Narcotics Unit, Indiana State Police, Winona Lake Police Department, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, and Atwood Fire Department were all called to the scene to make sure the dismantling of the lab and clean-up of dangerous chemicals was completed safely.

52-year-old Robert Nelson of Elkhart was charged with level 3 felony Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Possession of Precursors, Corrupt Business Influence, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, and Possession of Paraphernalia. He is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $20,250 surety bond.

24-year-old Ryan McBride of LaGrange was charged with Corrupt Business Influence, Possession of Precursors, Theft, and Visiting a Common Nuisance. He is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $10,250 surety bond.

Additionally, this investigation led to a juvenile male being detained in the St. Joseph County Juvenile Justice Center, pending further investigation.

Tuesday’s mobile meth lab investigation was the second in Warsaw this week following one near the 600 block of Center Street on Saturday.
