Silver Alert continues for missing Plymouth infant, FBI now involved

The search for a missing 11-month old at the center of a Silver Alert continues, and now, the Federal Bureau of Investigation is involved in the search.

Indiana State Police and the Plymouth Police Department issued the alert for Mercedes Lain late Sunday night after the infant was last seen last Thursday evening. A man wanted in the search, 37-year old Justin Lee Miller, was taken into custody and has been charged with neglect of a dependent.

Plymouth Police Chief David Bacon says now the FBI Child Abduction Rapid Deployment Team is involved, that’s according to our news partners at WNDU.

Mercedes Lain is described as a white female, 2 feet tall, 19 pounds, blonde hair with brown eyes.
