Three Injured In Friday Accident

Three people were injured after a two-vehicle accident Friday.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident at 12:15 p.m. at the intersection of Ind. 15 and CR 300S, Warsaw, according to information provided by KCSO.

Prior to the collision, Thomas Ryan, 18, of Warsaw, was driving east in a 2000  Chevrolet Colorado on CR 300S, approaching Ind. 15. Lloyd Baker Sr., 65, of Gas City, was  driving south on Ind. 15 in a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse, approaching CR 300S.

The preliminary results of the investigation indicate that Ryan failed to yield to Baker at the intersection. The front driver corner of Ryan’s vehicle struck the front passenger corner of Baker’s vehicle, according to KCSO.

Ryan and a passenger in his vehicle, Conner Bale, 18, of Warsaw, were transported by ground ambulance to Lutheran Fort Wayne.

A passenger in Baker’s vehicle, Lloyd Baker Jr., 49, of Jonesboro, was transported to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne by Lutheran Air Ambulance.

KCSO, Claypool Police Department, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, Lutheran EMS and Lutheran Air Ambulance responded.
