AKRON — Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation has formally announced that Tippecanoe Valley has begun the process of exiting its affiliation with the Three Rivers Conference.

In doing so, the school district intends to form a partnership with Bremen, John Glenn, Jimtown, Knox and Laville to be part of a yet-to-be-named conference.

The new conference is expected to take full effect in the fall of 2024.

Tippecanoe Valley officials believe the new affiliation will open up a wider range of competition for student-athletes and allow for greater development across different sports teams.

In a statement released Monday morning, the school distinct said, “We believe this is in the best interest of our student-athletes and all the stakeholders in our community.”

Further details regarding the new conference are being finalized and will be released by all members of the new conference in the future.
