ELKHART — The Elkhart Fire Department rescued a man and woman Friday afternoon whose rental truck was hanging over the side of a bridge.

Indiana State Police Sergeant Ted Bohner Tweeted Friday that the Penske rental truck had collided with a motor home. The crash stopped westbound traffic near mile-marker 91 on the Indiana Toll Road.

Bohner also posted a video of the rescue. In the video, you can see firefighters on one bridge using an extending platform to reach the truck on the opposite bridge. Other firefighters and first responders are standing a short distance from the rental truck.

The State Police Sergeant wrote, “Miraculously there were no injuries in this crash.”
