Warsaw school officials are speaking out after a teacher at Lincoln Elementary School spoke with school administration about students fighting in the restroom.

A press release states that the teacher contacted administration on Tuesday, November 5th, and it was later determined that students had created a “fight club” that was also being posted on social media.

Law enforcement immediately partnered with the school to put an end to the inappropriate behavior. Officials say that students were disciplined in accordance with the school’s student handbook and parents were also involved in the case.

Both law enforcement and school administrators say it will be a priority to make sure this behavior does not continue, and a police investigation is ongoing.

The press release continued, “Although social media posts are ongoing regarding the incident, we would like to assure the public that the matter was handled as soon as the behavior was brought to light. WCS is committed to safety and security of all students and would like to thank the continued support of our school resource officers and partnership with the local law enforcement.”
