Caucus planned after Harrison Township board member resigns

WARSAW — Plans for a Republican Party caucus have been announced after Harrison Township Board of Trustees member Gerald Weirick resigned.

His resignation was effective Dec. 31.

Kosciusko County Republican Central Committee Chair Mike Ragan said the caucus will be held at 6 p.m. on Jan. 19 in the Mentone Council Chambers, 105 E. Main St., Mentone.

Candidates must reside in Harrison Township, Kosciusko County, and be a Republican in good standing.

Declarations of candidacy are available at the office of the Kosciusko County Clerk of the Circuit Court, 121 N. Lake St., Warsaw, and must be filed with Ragan no later than 72 hours prior to the start of the caucus.

Eligible candidates will be allowed three minutes to address the caucus.
