Green roof installed at Grace College’s Dr. Dane A. Miller Science Complex

A green roof has been installed at the newly-opened Dr. Dane A. Miller Science Complex at Grace College.

It’s designed to conserve water, trap heat, and prevent storm runoff.

The rooftop garden covers one-thousand square feet of roof area and holds up to 20 types of succulent plant species.  

Officials say the green roof could create as much as a 10 percent heating and cooling savings for Grace College.
